Taikang Community

Shanghai-based art consultancy Ui Art reached out to JUDiTH+ROLFE to provide custom artwork for two locations within Taikang Community, an exclusive retirement facility.

Inspired by the triangular plum, also known as Bougainvillea, which is Shenzhen's city flower, we crafted a series of five flowers for Taikang Community: Peng Garden in Shenzhen. Each flower was carefully selected not only for its vibrant colors but also for its rich symbolic significance.

For Taikang Community: Yan Garden in Beijing, the client’s preference was a design with maple and ginkgo leaves. Renowned for its breathtaking maple foliage, Xiangshan (Fragrant Hill) Park in Beijing served as a muse, while the ginkgo biloba, China's national tree, symbolizes longevity and resilience, echoing the spirit of the community.
